Gallery 840 Nerve Claw Let's revisit the punishing "Nerve Claw" where the attacker pinches the nerves at the base of his opponent's neck.  Here big Bruno lifts his arms to display the pure agony of this hold. A handsome British lad grits his teeth and suffers for the fans as his opponent massages his neck muscles.  The Brits love to see their pretty boys in agony. SCHWINGGG! This young lad in the white speedo is probably a British wrestler.  The Brits love their wrestlers young, smooth, lean, and scantily clad in speedos.  And like I said, they love to watch the young men suffering endlessly. Ken Patera was known for his super human strength.  He flexes his muscles and pours all his strength into the One Handed Nerve Claw on this shirtless young stud.  Sweat glistens on the poor kid's tan body. "Superstar" Billy Graham was another wrestler whose gimmick was his raw power.  His hard muscles strain as he digs into the shoulder meat with both hands, rendering his victim helpless in his grasp. This bald brute with the goatee resembles "Da Crusher" from the old Bugs Bunny cartoon.  He casually tweaks the nerves on the sides of the opponent's neck, as the poor victim nearly passes out from the pain. Another scary bald beast, Ox Baker, controls his Everyman, Joe Six-Pack opponent with a two-handed claw.  Why are these regular dudes always thrown in the ring with these crazy animals? What is it with bald, goateed brutes and the two-handed Neck Pinch??  The victim in the singlet suffers some prolonged abuse. I believe this is Dick the Bruiser, mounting his opponent from behind and giving him a neck massage.  The beaten wimp can't even rise from his knees. The jobber sells the pain very well as the camera zooms in for a closer look.  Clearly, Dick has struck a nerve as he penetrates the other man's flesh with his strong fingers. For added pressure, the attacker often grips his own wrist as he kneads and pinches the opponent's neck nerves.   I don't know why this increases the pain, but it sure looks hot! When the attacker slaps on the Nerve Claw, the victim's arms are totally paralyzed.  He can't even fight back, like Superman after a big dose of Krytonite.  All he can do is kneel there like a puppet on a string, enduring the agony until the other man decides to release it. Hard-body Scotty Charisma is under the control of this painted beast.  His arms lift and remain motionless, like a robot that lost power during a movement.  Why is it so satisfying to see a powerful muscle-man rendered totally helpless? The beefy Biker and the dopey Country Boy are not the sexiest wrestling personas.  They make up for this lack of sex appeal with a Vulcan Death Claw that leaves the big Hill-Jack flat on his back, which has the fans on the edge of their seats. For some reason, I love it when one partner leans on the ropes, patiently watching and waiting for his turn to punish their cute young victim.  Nice tights, dude!   Even a hairy-chested dude is no match for the dreaded Trap Claw.  The flamboyant blond easily controls this curly haired Macho Man. Wow, nice physique on young Kevin!  Too bad his hard muscles are useless now that he's been paralyzed by the dreaded Neck Claw.   Kevin didn't sell the pain too often, even though the Texas fans went crazy when he was in trouble.  He knows better than to no-sell Dick Murdock, so he lays there biting his lip and whimpering like a wet puppy. Dave Taylor was a favorite of the British fans, so of course he gets locked in a deadly neck claw for several minutes that nearly causes him to pass out. Gotta love those red trunks and bicep straps on this suffering Baby Face!  He struggles to rise to his feet as the tattooed attacker digs in with both hands. Wow, nice!  The bad boy continues to work on poor Taylor and generally kick his ass and hurt him, mostly with Neck Pinches. Muscular Lex Lugar looks great dripping with sweat in his electric blue trunks.  He does a great job putting over huge Sid Vicious, striking a woeful expression and clutching his hair in frustration as the giant destroys his nerves. It's often the mysterious Asian wrestlers like Kabuki who have learned the deadly secrets of Nerve Holds.  Can our American wrestlers survive these strange tactics? Poor Junkyard Dog is just a fun-loving good-old boy from the inner city!  He clearly has no defense against Kabuki's powerful Oriental Nerve Pinch! Even in the modern era, freaky Japanese invaders use the power of the Martial Arts to subdue cute American victims.  Our poor boys-next-door are like Storm Troopers falling victim to Jedi Mind Tricks!! Taz is known as a rough, tough all around Bad-Ass, but even he is no match for the Oriental Nerve Claw.  The Asian freak works his fingers deep into that thick shoulder meat. The Mexican wrestlers also play up the Asian wrestlers' knowledge of deadly nerve pinches.  Here some masked Luchadore suffers in the barefoot Jap's death claw, his hard body totally motionless. Another barefoot karate master -- Kendo -- takes down his opponent with a Claw.  The caption says something like: "He knows his business, and during the rudeness, none there cough, seeing Shiro suffer seriously in the hands of Kendo." This cruel attacker wears a Ninja costume, maybe to hide the fact that he isn't even Japanese.  Whatever, his shirtless American victim looks damn good in his poses of agony, cringing in pain. This dramatic photo shows handsome Pedro Morales suffering in a two-finger Neck Claw.  This claw on the right side of his neck is so intense, it has even paralyzed his LEFT arm! Why are all Asian wrestlers adept at the deadly Nerve Grip?  Do Japs learn it in gym class or something??  While we're learning the finer points of Dodge Ball and Jumping Jacks, they practice nerve clawing?? This is not exactly a Nerve Claw -- it's more of a double chop to the shoulders.  But the attacker's white mask looked pretty sweet, so I included the photo. I guess if a young, athletic cutie wears white trunks, it's like wearing a sign that says "Claw My Shoulders, Please!"  The hairy brute rips in like he's tearing apart some raw meat. TNT Horrigan sporting the thin green speedo, is usually the dominant attacker in his Underground matches.  In this match however, a Shoulder Claw has him scowling in helpless agony.   As limp as a wet noodle, poor Horrigan suffers the effects of a long Nerve Pinch.  If applied properly, the pain and nerve damage can cause the victim to pass out. Every rasslin hold that Rick Rude applies is designed to show off his rock-hard body.  Here he flexes his arms, shoulders, and chest while also, by coincidence, clawing jobber Davey Rich. Here is how one tape seller describes this hot match on his website: "Rude is one of the hottest wrestlers ever! Tall, muscular, hairy and handsome and poured into form-fitting white tights with airbrush designs.  By the way, he treats hairy muscular fireplug Davey Rich to one of those high vertical suplexes... WOOF!  Davey Rich has one of those hairy guts you just want to punch and Rude treats himself to abusing it!  Hot match!"
