Rope Crab

One of the slick modern variations of the Boston Crab is to apply the hold in the ring ropes.  The victim's legs are bent painfully down over the top rope with his arms trapped behind the attacker's boots to arch his back in.

Clever new holds like this are popular in Ring of Honor.  Here, Christopher Daniels presses his crotch against AJ Style's black square cuts to bend his body in the wrong direction.

The only problem with this hold is that, since the victim is in the ropes, the ref will quickly force the attacker to release it.  The Independent federations should change the rules to allow these cool tie-ups in the ropes.

The lean dude in silver tights applied a leg choke over the top rope.  The victim's partner then grabbed his chin to bend him backwards over the ropes for a little pay-back.

Matt Stryker likes to wrestle in his tight green speedo. His bulge is on display as the stud in purple tights applies a painful Rope Crab.

Now the bad guy converts it to a Double Toehold and presses a boot into poor Matt's spine.  Now the fans can really see what he's packing in that tight green speedo.

This cruel kid in the fancy pants hangs his body weight on the other wrestler's legs and body, forcing the victim to support him.

The same kid in the black pants applies the Hanging Crab to another victim, letting gravity and the weight of his body crank the poor dude's legs down over the top rope.

Jericho loves variations of the Boston Crab.  Here he tortures muscular Bob Holly with a nice Rope Crab.

I'm not sure why the ref is outside the ring where he can't control the action.  Jericho simply ignores the ref as he increases the pressure on poor Holly.

Another cool Boston Crab invented by the young Indy studs is to lock the victim's body on the middle turnbuckle, sit on the top buckle, and bend him against the corner post.  Ouch!  That's GOTTA hurt!

This blond stud is hugging the cold steel ring post as his opponent in the red pants tries to snap his back from the top Turnbuckle.

Great close-up of this stud, cringing in agony as he becomes intimate with the ring post.

"AAHH!!  My BACK!  You're breakin' my BACK!!"

A flashy young stud from New Pro Wrestling applies a single-leg variation of the Corner Crab.  The victim's beefy belly rests on the middle Turnbuckle as his leg is twisted above and back.

The ref steps outside the ring to check on the suffering victim, whose shoulder is driven into the ring post as the Corner Crab continues. Actually the ref should be forcing a break, since the poor victim is outside the ropes.
