Classic Pro Sleeper



Check out "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in those fancy trunks and boots!  His flamboyant gear won't save him now, as Dick Slater cinches on the sleeper hold and commands Piper to take a nap.

Piper learned how to apply the sleeper, so now he is the man in control, sending some hot jobber off to Dreamland in his arms. Piper looks cocky now that he is in command.
These guys used to be tag team partners known as the Midnight Rockers.  Shawn Michaels must have pissed off his buddy, Marty Jannetty, because Jannetty looks angry as he clamps his arms around Michaels' neck.  You only hurt the ones you love.
Mr. Olympia, the masked man applying this tight sleeper, had some huge arms, and he knew how to use them to punish his opponents.  He should unmask Mr. Wrestling II after he puts the man's lights out.  This would be the ultimate humiliation for any masked man: put to sleep and unmasked in front of all the fans!
This cocky veteran calmly circles his hairy arms around the young opponents neck and whispers in his ear: "It's nap time for you kid!  Don't fight it.  Go to sleep.  Go to sleep.  Go to sleep.  Go to sleep..."

Another veteran teaches the young buck a lesson as he slaps on the sleeper, pressing on the back of the rookie's neck for leverage.  The victim raises his hands in surrender and begs for mercy.  Will the cruel daddy put his boy to sleep anyway?

Jimmy Garvin pours all his strength into this intense sleeper on Iceman Parsons.  He flexes his bicep against the man's carotid artery and hugs his head against his hairy chest.  He does not want this big black bruiser to break free and take revenge.

Another big black dude, Sweet Brown Sugar, is punished by his white master, as David Von Erich controls his opponent with a tight sleeper.  The victim clenches his fist as David chats casually with his brother at ringside.
Ted DiBiase loved to use sleepers of all kinds.  I think he just loved the feeling of having his arms locked around the other man's neck as the victim slowly dropped off to sleep.  Here he sends some beefy masked man into Dreamland.
Is this rookie in the white trunks being sleepered or choked out by the older grappler?  The ref leans in for a closer look as the veteran says "Are you kiddin me?? This is not a choke, ref!"  Meanwhile the victim is gagging as the older man tightens his arm against his throat.

This cruel heel first busted his opponent's forehead open, humiliating the man by letting the juice pour down his face.  Then he goes for the kill by slapping on a tight sleeper.  The chubby victim is already weak from loss of blood, so the sleeper is more effective.
It's baldy versus baldy as another wrestler is busted open then sleepered with blood pouring down his face.  Whatever happened to intense, vicious pro action like this??
