Have you noticed all the tongues on display in the ring lately?  So many wrestlers are dishing out all sorts of tongue porn before, during, and after their matches.  Surely this is no coincidence…

Maybe the wrestler gets a bonus for each time his wandering tongue exits his lips.The display of the tongue is often considered a flirtation by body language experts — the promise of future pleasure.  Sticking out one’s tongue may be the subconscious desire to penetrate and get intimate.

To win a fight also has been called “licking” the competition.  I’m not sure where this phrase comes from nor why “licking” has come to mean beating someone up, but I think it’s interesting that many wrestlers lick their lips when dominating the match.  Are they implying that they’ve “licked” the other man in a fair fight?

Sticking out the tongue is something a naughty boy does to insult or degrade someone he doesn’t like.  Maybe the Heel wrestlers stick out their tongues to channel their inner brat.

I don’t recall all this Tongue Porn happening in the ring 20+ years ago.  Maybe I was naive about the true nature of pro wrestling back then and not  aware of sexually suggestive acts being performed before my eyes.

Or maybe the cameras were not as sharp in those ancient, non-Digital, non-Hi-Def days, so I couldn’t see all the licking going on in the ring.

Or maybe pro wrestling has become even more sensual and erotic by involving more tongue.

Perhaps the master of the Lip Lick is the long-tongued Roman Reigns.  This bad boy has a sexy goatee that draws our attention to his full, sensual, expressive lips.  During the entire match, he purses his big lips like he is kissing the air, and his big tongue relentlessly pokes out like he’s catching flies.

Is Roman perhaps trying to appeal to female fans, inviting them to dream about what he could do with that big wet stamp-licker.

If “sex sells”, and if displaying the tongue is meant to be a sexual act, then this young man is going to be very rich and successful in the ring!
