Out with the Old: Double Teaming

I tend to download and save every good “Two Against One” image I see online.  Why is that?

When I see a pair of wrestlers (especially in matching gear) working over one jobber (especially a really good looking jobber), my finger automatically right-clicks and I select “Save As” before I even know what I’m doing.  Double teaming always just does something to my brain…

Eventually I’ve got a bunch of Two Against One photos clogging up my hard-drive and I need to release the build up.  So I post a batch of these scenes of unfair brutality and dirty cheating and I wonder if anybody else out there finds them as exciting as I do.

I then try to explain why the cruelty and injustice depicted in these scenes is so arousing for me, but I never really put my finger on it.  I’m not sure why these photos affect me like they do — I just know that I love it when a Tag Team mis-behaves and I always have.

When the Heel tag team implements the illegal Double-Team maneuvers, the excitement comes from the imbalance of power, the unfair odds that the victim must struggle to overcome.  The cheating is seen as a dick move — totally smarmy and forbidden, and therefore arousing.

When the heroic Baby-Face team fights back with some fancy double-teaming of their own, the story they tell is about homo-social bonding and the power of effective Male-Male partnership.  We are so proud and relieved to see the high-flying pretty boys FINALLY showing they’ve got a pair and can deliver some masculine power and brutality of their own.

So I’m not sure if I’ve accurately described why I love it when a Tag Team tosses out the rulebook and gets all unfair in their tactics.  I don’t think I’ve quite hit the nail on the head, but this is such a common, popular scene in pro wrestling that I must not be the only wrestling fan who pops for the Double Team moves.

If nothing else, at least I’ve provided some more images of this type of brutality for those who get into this sort of thing, and cleared out some space on my hard-drive for more great images like these.

    1) I absolutely LOVE your site, and have for a long time.

    2) I enjoy two beating on one sometimes.
But what I enjoy MUCH more is one one beats up on two. The idea of one stud strong enough to defeat both of his opponents at the same time turns me on big time. Especially if the one victor is a sexy stud (rather than just a huge monster).
Any posts you have about that would be much appreciated.

Oo, I agree with CBoapinta above. One stud strong enough to turn the tables on and defeat two opponents turns me on big-time, too!
