“Better Reaction Than Anything Else”, 2 of 2

The sexually tense match between Adam Cole and Eddie Edwards continues.  This is the match where Eddie punished foul-mouthed Adam Cole (who had started a “Suck my dick!” chant earlier) using the dreaded Teabag, prompting Kevin Steen to quip: “Homosexual stuff in wrestling gets a better reaction than anything else.  I’ve learned that and used it.  I accepted it a long time ago.” (Me too…)

Adam Cole soon recovers from the smothering he suffered between Eddie’s thighs (the damage primarily affecting his pride and dignity.)  He takes control of the match with some high quality wrestling, looking good as always in his tight blue trunks.

The horny male commentators meanwhile continue to verbally masturbate over the good looks of young Cole.  One of them confesses: “Every time I think he’s looking up at the commentary position, I get a little shiver.”

“Of course!” replies the other.

Both wrestlers play their roles perfectly, Cole pausing between  acts of torture (the classic slow, cruel beat-down by the Dick Heel) while Baby-Face Edwards sells the helplessness and anguish of his situation beautifully.  Eddie makes his body all limp and floppy for us, as if his muscles have turned to mush.  I suppose it is his turn to suffer for his homo-erotic behavior — for Tea-Bagging Adam Cole earlier in the match.

The action intensifies as both men start to pull out the Big Guns, trying to finish each other off but neither man willing to submit.  Edwards even kicks out after the deadly Superfly Splash move by Cole.  Cole later yells “Suck it!” while delivering a Neckbreaker which prompts Steen to revisit his queer love interest:

“Adam Cole’s got a real potty mouth that I’d love to put my… never mind.”   So not only is Adam Cole putting dirty thoughts in our heads by repeatedly telling his opponent to suck it, but the commentator Kevin Steen is joining in this Gay Play by making creepy stalker comments about Cole.  As Steen himself admitted during the Tea Bag spot, he has accepted that “homosexual stuff in wrestling gets a better reaction than anything else” and he uses verbal Gay Play to get himself over.

Edwards traps Cole in the Tree of Woe and tortures him for a while, kicking him in the face. Edwards even recruits a fan at ringside to stand up and Irish Whip him at Cole.  He then leaps onto the apron and again Dropkicks poor sitting-duck Adam Cole in the face.  Way to include the fans in the punishment of this sexy boy-toy!

Adam Cole demonstrates his testicular fortitude by surviving Edwards’ patented Single Leg Boston.  Then Cole gives Edwards the receipt by booting him in the back of the head to stun him.  Damn — Cole looks like a stud when he’s hauling off and kicking somebody in the skull!

Next Cole applies his “Straight-Jacket German Suplex” where he criss-crosses the victim’s arms, grips his wrists, then arches back to dump the dude on the back of his neck.  Bridging his impressive body to show off his flexibility, Cole pins his opponent’s shoulders to win the match!

There you have it — bad boy Adam Cole gets the victory despite his repeated foul and disrespectful acts against Eddie Edwards to stay alive in the 2012 Battle of Los Angelos tournament.  Kevin Steen concludes the match description by saying: “Adam Cole is not fucking around in this tournament.”
