Just Punishment?

Last week on Raw, the general manager — Brad Maddox in his tight lavender shirt and dress pants– was forced to fight Randy Orton.  If you’re like me, your heart skipped a beat the moment you heard Brad would be getting in the ring against none other than the ever-exciting Randy Orton.

Brad actually started strong in this battle, hitting Randy with a microphone, pushing him face-first into the ringpost, and then delivering a stunning DDT on the over-confident Randy Orton.  Randy I’m sure feels humiliated, forced to job to this young pretty-boy.

But Randy’s hatred prevents him from being defeated, and he sits up with a look of pure disdain for the cute kid who just humiliated him.  The Viper will serve as a jobber to this inferior Suit no longer.   Oh man, Randy is just gonna destroy this punk!

Out of control with rage, Randy ragdolls the General Manager over the top rope out to the floor, and then hurls him over the announcers’ table.   Next, the angry Viper rips open that purple shirt to expose Brad’s chest   (thanks Randy, we love you for that!)

With fistfuls of hair, Randy spikes Brad’s skull into the metal steps and pushes him into the ringpost for revenge.  It is a brutal scene — and poor Brad doesn’t stand a chance!

Apparently Randy was given this opportunity to beat up Brad Maddox, the General Manager of Raw, because of some transgression by Brad the previous week that caused Randy to lose a match. So the “Authority” — the top bosses in the federation — gave Brad to Randy as a toy.  Whatever.  The important thing is we get to see Brad in action again (although, unfortunately, wearing clothes instead of his trademark Beef Mode boy-shorts.)

Did you ever notice that Brad’s matches are always more violent and brutal than average?  It seems as if his opponents go out of their way to act especially vicious and cruel toward him.  Why is that?

Are the other wrestlers jealous of Brad’s handsome looks and they want to knock the shine off him a little?  Or do they all realize that we the viewers love to watch a jobber beat-down, and the prettier the jobber, the more violently we want him beaten down?  Or maybe Brad is truly hated in the locker room for his cockiness, and the other wrestlers use the opportunity to “shoot” on him — to hurt him for real.  There were moments in this scene that seemed all too real, so either Randy is really hurting Brad, or Brad is a fantastic actor!

Brad plays the ragdoll beautifully, allowing Randy to drag him around like a sack of wheat (or maybe Brad is really concussed from the head trauma inflicted by the Viper.)  By the way, this violent scene is available on YouTube in case you missed Raw last week and want to check it out.

Back inside the ring, the scene grows more sexually explicit as Randy mounts Brad and pulls his hair.  Brad is the “General Manager” of Raw and therefore Randy’s boss, but we see a power exchange as Randy assumes the dominant role on top of the submissive manager in his fancy business attire.

Randy picks up the microphone that Brad had struck him with earlier.  Holding it near his crotch, the mic becomes a phallic symbol — a representation of male power and dominance.  Earlier Brad held the mic and slammed it into Randy’s head, but now the shift in power is complete and Randy is the man with the big, hard tool in his fist.

Randy begins violently hammering the hard microphone into Brad’s skull, in effect relentlessly dick-slapping him with that big phallic symbol.  The thump of each blow is heard clearly as the microphone broadcasts the impact.  Handsome young Brad is being utterly used and abused by the sadistic Viper.

If you follow social media sites like Tumblr, you’ll know that many people around the world were turned on by this violent beating on pretty-boy Brad.  In fact, I did not create the animated GIFs seen in this gallery (they’re too good to be done by me…) which shows that many different people were inspired to capture the brutality, drama, and homo-eroticism of this scene.

The commentators add to Brad’s humiliation by talking about Randy’s level of power over him — Randy’s ability to do “whatever he wants” to Brad (even sexual stuff??)?

“Randy Orton can do whatever he wants to do!”

“I’m enjoying this.  This is great!  Take your time, Randy.”

“This is gonna last just as long as Randy Orton wants it to last.  He’s doing whatever he wants.”

“This is a massacre!  Brad Maddox is helpless, he may be unconscious.”

Finally the punishment stops and the handsome ref gets in on the action, checking Brad’s exposed chest for injury.  What could be next for our poor, wimpy Brad Maddox?  Will he seek revenge on the vicious Viper?  Will he don the trunks again and get back in the ring fully shirtless?  I can hardly wait for tonight’s Raw!
