Several months ago, I blogged about the Tag Team match where poor Darren Young was isolated in the ring and bashed mercilessly by the Wyatt Family.
This was just weeks after Young came out of the closet and I suspected they were exploiting our compassion for his plight as an out gay man by portraying an in-ring Gay Bashing.
Actually, Darren Young was thrown into another match in the same episode — a group Tag Team bout against The Shield.
Once again, he was forced to portray the humiliated Face-In-Peril, absorbing the bulk of the abuse from the cheating Boys in Black. What a terrible night for poor Mr. Young — to be bashed twice by two different groups of men! He was really punished severely for admitting his sexuality.
damn hot package it is!
Hey man,
We don’t thank you enough for the work you put into this site. In spite of the decreasing site traffic that you mentioned a little while ago, I have to say that I, for one, love that you intellectualize wrestling and really psychoanalyse every detail of why wrestling is such a rush for us. You are a great writer and you nail it on articles like this – deconstructing the joy of watching fully clothes wrestlers dismantle a recently out of the closet wrestler in tight trunks. One’s mind really does wander to the justification for the beating.
I hope that despite your new approach to the site, that you will leave some room for psycho-analysis, because I can guarantee you that there are people out there who love it.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you.
