Comic Book Hero

Here are some old images from my archives that I decided to dust off and post.  The file details say these were created in April, 2010.

I was getting creative here — exploring a new comic book format for my blog.  The captured images serve as the frames of the comic book page, and little captions and speech balloons are added to mirror the flavor and drama of a graphic novel.

I chose a “Three Way” match with Big Dick Barrett and pretty Alex Riley in black trunks ganging up on my beloved little Justin Gabriel in his angelic all-white gear.  I do love two against one scenes.

So how did you enjoy my experimental “comic book”?  Did anybody out there get a boner?

My intention was to deliver the narrative story telling found in comics.  I do enjoy the trash talk going on throughout the match — similar to Superhero comics where Batman and Joker, for example, are fighting and carrying on an intimate conversation about how much they want to destroy each other.  There is something homo-erotic in the interaction with a guy you’re fighting and trying to hurt.

The captions above and below the images are meant to be the voice of the color commentator describing the action.  This enabled me to add the usual pro wrestling verbal-porn like: “How much more punishment can this young man’s body absorb??“
