SLT: Foot on the Bottom Rope

I’ve mentioned previously one of my personal “subtle little things” that I enjoy seeing during a wrestling match: when the Tag Team partner waiting outside the squared circle places his foot on the bottom rope and sort of leans against the ropes.

The Outside Partner in black trunks is striking the pose in the background of this photo, making me want to stare at him instead of the in-ring action.  He is perhaps mimicking the pose of the dominant wrestler in the ring who planted his feet all over the victim’s body.

Why do I find this position so exciting and arousing to look at?  I don’t know — because I’m a weirdo I suppose. It just seems cocky and naughty to lean on the ropes like that.

Some of you are probably wondering why in the hell anybody would get turned on just because some bored wrestler happened to rest his foot on the rope.  Before you think I’m some kind of pervert with oddball fetishes (moreso than you probably already do…), let me try to explain the appeal of this pose…

This position makes the wrestler watching from the corner seem anxious and tense, as if he can not wait to leap into that ring.  Standing with a foot on the rope makes him seem hot to trot, eager to get physical with the other men.  He seems just as worked up from watching the wrestling from his vantage point at ringside as I feel watching it from my bed.

The foot-on-the-rope pose also places his ass and hips in a sexy, appealing position.  His thighs spread open, one leg cocked to the side to show off his bulge.

Standing with a boot up like that makes him resemble an arrogant punk who sits with his nasty feet on the coffee table or on his desk at work.  Then he rests his arms on the ropes too as if he owns the whole damn ring.  He seems to be saying to the world:  Yes I am using these ropes to support my weight, and what are you gonna do to stop me?

As with many of the subtle little things that have been featured on this blog, either you “get” it or you don’t.  Trying to explain the appeal of one of your personal, private subtle little things is like trying to put into words why you enjoy a certain flavor of ice cream.

The brain is just wired to respond positively to certain stimuli for whatever reason, and when the wrestler shifts his weight onto one leg and lifts the other leg like a dog getting ready to piss, all kinds of fun fireworks just start going off in my brain.  It seems to me that he must know that the fans on that side of the ring are, of course, checking out his spandexed ass, and he’s giving them a flirtatious little treat by presenting it in an appealing manner under the guise of relaxing before his turn in the ring.

Great pics. Does anyone know who the guy in the white Zebra print trunks in the third picture down is?
