In Which BRO Supports The Troops (But To No Avail)

I always enjoy chatting about wrestling with my virtual buddy BRO (for “Best Ringside Observer”) and I especially enjoy when he tells me he attended a live pro wrestling event as he did a few days ago.  This means I will reap the benefits of the great photos he snapped and hear about the hottest matches.

At his most recent outing, BRO was privileged to get an eyeful (and camera-ful) of this swole stud, former Marine, Steve Cutler (AKA Tommy Maclin).  He looks tuff with that military buzz and chiseled body, but actually he is as gentle and submissive as a lamb.

Cutler’s opponent (or perhaps Dominant Overlord) for this match is Baron Corbin, the inked bad-ass in the long pants.  BRO tells me the promoters are currently “pushing” Corbin, which just means he will easily win all of his matches, which means Cutler is about to suffer a painful beating and one-sided defeat (in spite of those thick, powerful thighs), which means this wrestling fan is very thankful BRO was there with his camera to document this Squash Match!

It seems Cutler and Corbin have squared off several times in recent weeks with the end result always the same:  big bully Corbin just destroys the glutton-for-punishment Steve Cutler repeatedly, on one occasion even bloodying the poor jobber’s face!

Apparently Corbin is a real stiff fucker in the ring– all his moves appear absolutely devastating (maybe because they are).  Here is how one reviewer described it:

“When Corbin takes control is when things get interesting, every move by the six foot eight inch big man looks absolutely brutal.”

For whatever reason (maybe because it is so hot to see), Steve Cutler always plays a limp jobber, unable to fight back whatsoever.  Do they even bother teaching him any offensive moves in wrestling school, or do they just teach him how to look gorgeous while suffering?

For example, there have already been two Steve Cutler matches featured on this blog and he was humiliated both times:  first a liberal tree-hugger CJ Parker utterly shamed our brave Marine, and later The Ascension double-teamed him and knocked his spandex-clad dick in the dirt.

Cutler wore blue trunks in his earlier matches, but I am really digging the addition of white stars on the hips and ass — a nice touch which really jobber-izes his look!

Cutler suffers in pure agony — and he thought Boot Camp was tough!  The fact that this stud is a Marine — a well-trained warrior and bad-ass — makes his pathetic suffering and loss of power that much more alluring!

Cutler is just so utterly submissive and helpless once his beatings begin, like the wimpy (albeit powerfully built) muscle jobbers of 3o years ago who would lay obediently on the mat, never trying to rise to their feet until the dominant man grabs their hair or shoulder.

Cutler is like a Mike Tolbert or a Bob Emory.  He is totally built, wears brightly colored trunks with white boots, has a plain old boring jobbery name, and is utterly submissive and obedient to the star in the ring with him.  This is the very recipe for a hot Muscle Jobber, and Steve Cutler has all the ingredients on the list.

A Muscle Jobber moves at a snail’s pace, as if he was shot with a tranquilizer dart, offering the wrestler-in-control plenty of time to get over and line up another painful assault. And every little Knee Drop or Forearm Smash or Kick to the Ribcage utterly wipes him out, draining every ounce of strength.  The message is that this big strong stud has no chance against the impossibly powerful, unbeatable opponent. When a man this athletic and strong in appearance acts this helpless and submissive, it really is a thing of beauty.

You see Cutler’s swole body and well-defined muscles, and you’re told he is a former Marine, and you think:  this He-Man should be able to mount SOME offense — he should be able to kick SOME ass even if he loses in the end…

Then you witness the strong-man’s utter lack of aggression, his hard body flopping around like a sack of dough, and you kind of enjoy pondering his weakness.

Baron Corbin’s deadly finishing move is called the “End of Days” — you can view a clip of him destroying CJ Parker with it.  He stands facing his victim, lifts the dude by the neck, bends forward to swing the other man’s feet up, then falls onto his back to spike the guy’s face into the mat, the force aided by the victim’s forward momentum.

Corbin frequently finishes off Cutler using this stunning maneuver in their matches, and poor Cutler never can seem to escape or avoid it…

My congratulations to BRO on another great series of wrestling photos, and to Steve Cutler on another beautiful performance of the classic Muscle Jobber in pro wrestling story:  Strength being over-powered, Idealized Masculinity being rendered impotent, and a Super Hero being reduced to a humiliated weakling.

Keep up the great work!

Always love muscle jobbers going up against nasty Heel types, especially when the bad guys are more clothed. It makes it look like the muscleman is being set up, that he is going to be punished for all that time in the gym and his “incredible physique” (a favorite phrase of announcers. Really. Whenever you hear that one you KNOW the stud’s going to get a serious workover).
