The last time I reviewed a Chris Hero match was his 11/29/2013 beating at the hands of crazy Luke Harper. That was just before WWE fired him from their NXT training class, sending him out the door with a degrading kick in the ass.
I was happy to find these recent images of big Hero back in action, once again owning the ring and doing what he loves best — wrassling!
Hero’s opponent at this 12/20/14 Alternative Wrestling Show (AWS) event was Adam Thornstowe, the heavily inked Indy wrestler grinding on the Side Headlock in this photo.
It appears from these photos that Thornstowe was most successful in the early exchanges, which means he must be the Baby and will begin to suffer very soon.
When Chris Hero (also known as Kassius Ohno) wrestled in NXT, he played a sadistic Bad-Ass. I recall gushing over his deadly Elbow Smash strikes — which they called the “Ohno Blade” — in my article titled: Oh No the Elbow.
But it always felt like he was held back from his full Dickhead potential in NXT — never permitted to unleash pure hell on his victims and often forced to job to lesser men like Luke Harper.
So now that Hero is back on the Indy scene, he can hurt guys as much and as brutally as he always wanted. Here he kicks Thornstowe in the fuckin mush and sends the shirtless stud sprawling into the laps of some lucky fans at ringside.
With all the concerns about concussions in pro sports, it’s shocking to watch Hero target this poor sitting duck’s skull — just relentlessly pump kicking, elbow-striking, and Knee-to-the-Temple driving the dazed victim without mercy.
Hero makes it seem so violent and real, his long hair whipping around as he hammers in another blow to the concussed victim.
And let me say a few words about what some of you may have noticed already: Chris Hero’s added bulk. When he was let go from NXT, there were rumors that his inability to stay in top physical condition per WWE standards was the reason. Now that he is his own man, he can do what he wants, eat what he wants, like a true man is supposed to do, and I am loving the results.
I prefer my Heel’s with some meat on their bones — it makes them appear bulkier and therefore more powerful. Plus it gives them a gluttonous, orally-fixated vibe, the image of selfishness that a naughty Heel ought to portray.
This match looks like a really violent donnybrook, like all Hero matches when he is free to implement his skull-crushing offense without restraint. I suspect these photos don’t do justice to the live carnage, and before you bother asking me: No, I do not have any link to the video of this match.
After taking like 32 blows to the noggin that would scramble even a Samoan’s brains, Thornstowe is able to rally his power and win the match in the end.
But Thornstowe’s triumph is cut short when the breath-taking body of massive Brian Cage strides to the ring to interrupt the celebration. That body on Cage is really something to behold — the fetish of the super-sized and massive.
I am not sure what prompted Cage to get in the ring and further abuse poor helpless Thornstowe, other than a big powerful brute like Cage can do exactly what-the-fuck-ever he wants to do.
Thornestowe suffers a devastating slam, then the big stud drapes the champ’s belt loosely across his broken body, setting up (hopefully) a long, violent feud between Cage and Thornestowe with the latter (hopefully) suffering shamelessly.
Brian Cage can drape anything he wants to over me!
