This gallery continues the story found in the Sensational Struggles #446 comic book from Mexico. You can go back and review Part 1 and Part 2 if you need to catch up.
In a nutshell, we have seen the rivalry (and sexual tension) intensify between the uber-macho Pierroth and famous Canadian wrestler, Vampiro. So far, Pierroth whipped Vampiro with a chain on the set of their film (rather than following the script and allowing Vampiro to defeat him) and has kidnapped the two female co-stars to leave Vampiro dateless and emasculated.
The story continues three days later…
The artist continues to sissify the beautiful Vampiro by emphasizing his luscious long hair and big earring. In this scene, he also wears a rainbow-colored headband. He was summoned by the sleazy, cigar-smoking promoter to discuss an exciting new proposition.
While the promoter tries to convince Vampiro to join in a partnership (relationship) with Pierroth, the masked man himself enters the room, boldly shirtless as usual. With him are his two female playmates from the sexcapade at his apartment. They are still together three days later, which implies that they’ve enjoyed each
other’s company and taken hot bubble-baths the entire time.
Pierroth emasculates Vampiro by playing kissy-face with Vampiro’s co-stars right in front of him, forcing the less macho man to watch while he sexes up both actresses. Note that Vampiro is standing in a similar pose, with similar long black hair, as one of the females.
Is this drawing of a bitch-faced and heart-sick Vampiro meant to portray him as jealous of Pierroth for kissing two beautiful women, or perhaps jealous of the women for getting to kiss Pierroth? The horny promoter’s cigar, meanwhile, is jutting out at full attention and spewing white smoke like a boiling kettle.
Vampiro exits now that Pierroth has arrived. On the way out, he accepts the promoter’s offer to partner with Pierroth. Why? What changed his mind? Did the spectacle of Pierroth making out with the women excite Vampiro and cause him to now crave a relationship with the macho man?
Tired of being out-manned by Pierroth, Vampiro decides to cuckold his rival by stealing the two females for himself. He flirts with them (facing at us and flirting with us as Pierroth had also done) and invites them out for a bite.
This creates a Love Triangle (actually a Love Quadrangle) between Vampiro, Pierroth, and the two women. As in most narratives involving a Male-Female-Male relationship, the true focus of this interaction is on the two men, with the women serving as objects of exchange between them. Vampiro is able to “fuck over” Pierroth by taking the women for himself, and anything he does to violate the women is also a violation of Pierroth.
The artist emphasizes Pierroth’s masculinity by drawing him as a hulking giant. Above, the bare-chested Pierroth towers over his boss while flexing his biceps, with the promoter still sucking on that cigar as it points at Pierroth’s crotch. Pierroth’s huge muscles bulge like ripe fruit as he rants and raves, his right arm so massive, it breaks out of the frame of this drawing. Why is Pierroth so passionate when asked to partner with beautiful Vampiro? Doth he protest too strongly?
After Pierroth storms out, the promoter (with the phallic cigar now drooping between his lips) is desperate to somehow force that male-male pairing. The storyline presents the coupling of the two males as critical — as if their failure to partner up would be a tragedy.
Upon learning that Vampiro has cuckolded him by stealing the two women, Pierroth goes berserk. He socks the poor janitor in the jaw for suggesting that Vampiro may be more sexually desirable and virile than the older, less manly Pierroth.
Storming back into the promoter’s office, Pierroth now (for some reason) accepts the offer to partner with Vampiro. This scene mirrors Vampiro’s surprise acceptance just after watching Pierroth kiss the two women. When Pierroth learned that Vampiro was sexually appealing to the ladies, he is suddenly very interested in hooking up. Their homo-social relationship is built on their sexual prowess, each man seeking to enter the relationship upon witnessing the other man’s machismo.
