Abusive Relationship

Yesterday I posted a review of my favorite match from the WWE Battleground 2015 pay-per-view featuring Randy Orton tortured by Sheamus.

This week on Monday Night Raw, the same two rivals met again to continue their on-going struggle.  To my utter enjoyment, Baby-Face Randy was again emasculated and physically punished by the hard-ass Irishman.

Randy dominates the early part of the match while Sheamus plays the cowardly Heel, ducking out of the ring to catch his breath and slow the momentum.

On one of his rest-breaks outside the ropes, Sheamus is attacked by a frustrated Randy Orton.  Thanks to his patented “Irish Curse” backbreaker, Sheamus gains the advantage and Randy is hurt.  Oh hell YEAH!

Some of you are thinking:  “Haven’t we already seen Sheamus beat the fuck out of Randy like a dozen times before??”  Yes we have —  and that is exactly what makes this scenario so provocative.  Sheamus, the sadist, has Randy’s number, and submissive Randy keeps coming back for more.

As Sheamus clamps on a delicious choke-hold, the commentators play up this apparent S&M relationship between these consenting adults:  “Sheamus in control right now of Randy Orton.”  “Sheamus is having his way with Randy Orton.  The more agony he can cause, the happier Sheamus is.”

The fact that they meet in the ring so frequently, and that Sheamus tends to dominate, implies that Randy perhaps doesn’t mind these repeated humiliations — maybe he even enjoys it. Maybe he wants Sheamus to hurt him and make him groan.

Each time Randy struggles to his feet, Sheamus knocks him down again to reassert his dominant position.  Here Sheamus soars off the ropes to plow down his submissive Tackling-Dummy.

Similar to their fight at Battleground presented yesterday, Randy suffers through a good 10 minutes of ritualistic abuse, then unleashes his RKO move to win the match. His RKO move seems to be part of their play — like a Safe Word used to stop his Dom’s punishment. Oh well, it was sure fun while it lasted!

Oh YES!  Just when Randy makes his way to the locker room after a hard-fought victory, he is over-powered by those three creepy Wyatts.

These goons shouldn’t be allowed to touch his clean, perfect body with their scraggly beards and dirty clothes, yet they put their hands all over my poor Randy!

Have you seen the newest member of the Wyatt Family?   He is a burly bear similar in appearance to Bray Wyatt.  His finishing hold is this unusual grip around the neck where he lifts his struggling victim up off his feet.  The hanged man’s own body-weight and force of gravity cause him to pass out — it’s fantastic!

Watch as Randy goes limp, his movements slowing as he relaxes against the dominant man’s body and falls to the mat.  The beast is almost gentle as he lowers his arms and slowly allows poor Randy to fall helplessly at his feet.

Like many new Heels when they first arrive on the scene, this killer is being presented as an Unstoppable Force — a frightening enigma with inescapable maneuvers like this deadly sleeper.  This is when a Heel is at his most compelling — before he is defeated by our Heroes and demoted to mere mortal status.

What a humiliating night for Randy Orton — to be crushed and slammed by a pale ginger (although he did manage a victory in the end) and then attacked by these disgusting hairy animals.  Randy was already exhausted from his earlier battle, yet they fall upon him three-against-one and show zero mercy.  Why did they attack him?  Just because he’s so darn hot looking?  They toss him around in his black underwear while enjoying the privilege of being fully clothed.

So those of you growing bored of the Sheamus-Randy dynamic can now witness a new feud between Randy and this big bearded slob.  Hopefully Randy will enter into a Master/Slave relationship with this goon and we will get to witness at least a dozen encounters in which Randy gets mauled by this bear and put to sleep in that Hug/Sleeper.
