Two of the most entertaining Heels in TNA Impact wrestling are Austin Aries and Bobby Roode.  They formed an on-again, off-again Tag Team a few years ago called the “Dirty Heels.”  I love that — the cheating bastards blatantly referring to themselves proudly as “Dirty Heels” — no muss, no fuss.  (I also dig their skin-tight matching undershirts with their team name emblazoned across their chests.)

All summer long, these Heels feuded with the popular Baby-Face team — the American Wolves.  The two couples fought a series of matches, the same four men in the ring together over and over again like an intense summer fling. And of course, my favorite moments occurred when the Wolves were suffering (especially Davey!)

What wonderful Two-on-One offense these teams are able to inflict on a lone victim!  Both teams were able to pull off some sweet Double-Teams, but most of the images in this gallery will focus on Davey in the role of lone victim.  (What can I say, I post what I like.)

Apparently, using metal garbage can lids was legal in this match.  Either that, or Aries is just a cheating sunovabitch.  Davey is helplessly Slingshotted by one Heel up toward the other Heel, who brains him with that damn lid.  The next move (not shown here) would be for Aries to catapult himself over the top rope to drop an elbow on the trapped opponent’s chest (see above animation from another Wolves-vs-Dirty-Heels matchup.)

Applying a matching pair of Leg Trips, the Dirty Heels smash the Wolves’ faces into waiting steel chairs.  Usually this degrading maneuver (i.e., crashing a dude’s mouth onto the place where asses sit) is inflicted as a form of revenge on cheating villains, but in this case, the Dirty Heels are humiliating the popular Baby Faces with the Seat Kisser move.  And speaking of chairs, check out the sexy Double-Strangulation below…

Now they punish Davey’s back by Irish-Whipping him into a ladder.  Next, they Irish-Whip Eddie into Davey, his lower body slamming directly into Davey’s crotch.  The Wolves are emasculated by being forced to remain in this suggestive (but beautiful) front-to-back position as the Dirty Heels set up their next punishing maneuver.

I guess it’s because Davey is so manly and muscular compared to the other men in the ring that I prefer seeing him abused.  There is also something superior about him — not that he’s arrogant for thinking he’s better than the rest of us, but that he IS better than the rest of us.  This makes us crave seeing the tough stud taken down a peg, for him to be made to suffer before us while we sit here watching and enjoying it.

For one match in their series of summer hook-ups, the Wolves decided to wear their flashy red tights while the Dirty Heels wore their trademark black.  The bright red color draws our attention to Davey’s lower half as the cheaters split his legs wide open to destroy his manhood.

Aries delivers a series of vicious chops to Davey’s thick chest.  They ring out like gunshots as Davey staggers around like he’s been drugged.  The Wolves painted long bloody gashes on their chests like claw marks.  They call themselves the “Wolves”, yet, in true Baby-Face fashion, their body art depicts them as the ones getting clawed, not doing the clawing.

I will post this one animation of the Wolves in command, just because their Elbow Smashes are so nicely synchronized.  Austin Aries (my second favorite stud in this match) is made to look weak and pathetic.

OK, that’s enough of Wolf domination, let’s get back to Davey in peril.

Here is another awesome but oh-so-nasty move by the Dirty Heels.  Roode hoists Davey up on his shoulders so Aries can Missile Drop-Kick the sitting duck in the face.  The ref does his part by standing around like a douche, ineffectively scolding the cheaters.

Way to go TNA Impact for giving us this hot series of tag matches over the past several months.  You can just keep right on showing these same two teams in action every week if you want — but with Davey forever playing the Face in Peril.  Seriously, why not have a weekly show which is nothing but the Dirty Heels punishing Davey Richards?!

You don’t even need to include Eddie Edwards if he doesn’t want to participate.  After all, he spends most of his time waiting outside the ropes looking worried and frustrated over Davey’s agony.  You can just have Davey getting double-teamed every week and I’d be your biggest fan.
