In yesterday’s Mask vs. Mask match, one of the many complex holds that the devious Red Demon inflicted on his victim was the old Leg Nelson. Check out his relaxed, reclining position while the other man’s arms are nearly ripped out of their sockets.
To continue the clean-up of my hard drive, today I am posting more images of the Leg Nelson hold. I can’t recall if I dubbed this move the “Leg Nelson” or if that’s really the name.
Anyway, the attacker simply sits behind his victim, encircles his legs around the victim’s arms, and presses forward with his legs on the back of the dude’s neck to crank on extreme pressure. The hold was popular in the late-90’s to early 2000’s — not seen very often today.
First you incapacitate your opponent’s proud big guns, depriving him of his strength. Then you ram your ass/package into his lower back. And he has to face forward, eye locking with the crowd as he is overpowered and assaulted from behind. I agree: this hold should be employed more!
