In honor of Rampage Brown’s devastating Pile-Driver move seen in yesterday’s article, I decided to post what’s left of the old Pile-Driver images I had collected on my Hard-Drive.
I think this image may actually be Rampage Brown himself, judging from the two-tone orange and black trunks and those killer thighs. In fact, I believe this is a companion image to the one I posted in yesterday’s article.
One of the best things about Pile Drivers is the creative ways that wrestlers invent to make this deadly and painful move hurt even worse!
When I first saw and downloaded this image, I thought that was Rick Rude applying the devastating Pile-Driver on this poor shark. Now I don’t know — I think it may be any random stud with a ripped upper torso.
I’m not sure who created this image or why, but I always liked it. Something about the tight grip of those swole arms and the way his legs straddle the shark.
Ever since I was a youngster and first saw the Pile-Driver used by Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff, I’ve always found this dangerous move compelling. Everybody sells the move as being so utterly dangerous and punishing, so vicious and sadistic, that only a real Bad Ass would even think about using the move. Who would DO that to a fellow human being — drive the top of his head into the mat using all your body weight to possibly injure his spine?!?
This is what made Orndorff so frightening and oh so wonderful to me — that he was willing to go there, to use deadly force on his wimpy opponents, sometimes repeatedly on the same victim! Then the cockhy sumbitch would flex his muscles, flick his sweat on the broken man, and strut back to the dressing-room as if he has the divine right to hurt people like that!
