Earlier this week, my fellow blogger from Ringside at Skull Island posted a description of a classic wrestling match between Brad Armstrong and Dale Veasey. Along with his commentary (always insightful and well-written), he included some fantastic GIF animations, including this little gem showing Veasey trying to pull Armstrong’s hair to escape the hold.

Wow — this image is a beauty! Veasey pants for air and balls up his fist to demonstrate that Brad’s hold is zapping his strength. And Brad just keeps holding on to that arm, kind of affectionately.
Can I just say, I’m so glad Ringside at Skull Island is blogging again. He knows how to describe a match in a way that can even make a long-held Armbar seem exciting and sexy.
In honor of Brad’s picture perfect Armbar and Ringside’s stunning GIFs, I decided to clean out some space on my hard-drive by posting some nice Armbar images that have been accumulating there.
Here is a nice, no-nonsense demonstration of the hold by a handsome lad in white gear. I’m going to guess the big brawny daddy with the red tights and shoulder tattoo is the Heel, and that this Armbar is happening early in the match before the Bad Daddy started his destruction of the heroic young Fan Favorite.
