A Tumblr site I follow is called “Tape Machine Are Rolling.” I’m not sure what that name means, I think it refers to what they used to say on televised wrestling when they have to cut to a mid-match commercial:
“Don’t worry wrestling fans, the tape machines are rolling and if this match should end during the commercial break, we’ll show you the exciting finish (so you can finish yourself off.)”
In the past few weeks, some old-school images on Tumblr really caught my eye and made me say: “Damn, that’s hot, who posted that?!” and it’s always TMAR. For example, this dramatic image of heroic Kerry‘s backside in his rhinestone jacket and tall white boots, those powerful legs ready for action — beautiful!

I always got into Buddy Landel. He was such a smarmy bully, something about his sneering lips and that gorgeous long platinum hair that you just want to yank but you can’t because he’ll hurt you if you try.

Kevin Sullivan was another perennial favorite with his fireplug build, sadistic acts of in-ring violence, and kinky Satanic rituals. Sullivan kept us wondering about the weird antics he got off on behind closed doors. I’ll bet he does his weird antics wearing those sexy pink briefs.

And Eric Embry too?? I swear Tape Machines Are Rolling must be spying on me and observing which wrestling videos I enjoy just before bed time. In my opinion, Embry was under-rated as a hot performer. Check out his expression of regretful helplessness as he is dragged back to his feet by some relentless killer. He “gets” what we love to see.
