Not every man has the balls to wear pink tights in public.
This gallery continues my article from yesterday on the colorful, flamboyant, revealing clothing that was popular in the old Global Wrestling Federation and the blatant displays of manhood on display each week, including this typical episode from September 1991.
At 32:10 into the video, the Tag Team known as the “American Breed” — Speedy Gonzales and Dapper Dan — get in the ring wearing spectacular pink tights and white boots. Just for looking so pretty in pink, they will receive plenty of punishment from the Dirty Davis Brothers, who of course are wearing all-black gear.
And what episode of GWF would be complete without the Handsome Stranger with his sexy mask and buff physique?! He wore two-toned black and white trunks, with the white side in front to ensure we can see what he’s packing.
GWF really packed a ton of wrestling in each show. The matches were short, and the interviews were just a couple sentences. The focus of the show was on the matches, and the focus of the matches was on the bulges.
It was like a colorful runway show (or a Male Revue.) As soon as the audience grew accustomed to the spandexed asses in the ring, those wrestlers would exit and another group of eye-catching hunks-in-trunks would enter and show us their dicks.
The episode that I am reviewing here features seven matches — all tightly packed in a brief 48 minutes! There are now three-hour long episodes of Raw that I believe deliver fewer than seven matches.
A total of 18 different wrestlers performed for us in these 48 minutes, giving us a wide variety of body types to gawk at and gear in all shapes, sizes, and colors of the rainbow. And the wrestlers don’t just stand around in their fancy costumes — they pose in all sorts of slutty, suggestive positions, like the Handsome Stranger presenting his muscular backside doggy-style.
Next up, Steve Simpson rolls around with Steven Dane, the buff blond in the white trunks and boots and I am suddenly feeling that tingling dizzy sensation again.
And before you think my mind is in the gutter, I am not the only wrestling fan who noticed the revealing trunks that were staples of this gay-friendly fed.
If he keeps Arm-Barring you, just keep grabbing his dick.
When I wrote about the GWF’s return to ESPN Classic back in 2013, one of my loyal readers posted this comment, agreeing with my assessment:
“GWF will be regarded by the majority of wrestling fans as the horniest & juiciest pro-wrestling show in history! You’re right about the extra-tight trunks getting all the attention…it’s one of the most talked about things from the show!
Handsome Stranger, Barry Horowitz, John Tatum, Chaz, etc. (Nuff said!)”
The power in those legs is worthy of worship.
My favorite scene from this match — maybe from this entire episode — was this stunning Headscissor applied by Dane.
He reaches up with those thick thighs, clamping Simpson’s throat between his knees. Then he reclines on one elbow for a while, his wedgied white trunks the center of our attention as his tree-trunks apply the pressure.
Where they’ll stop, nobody knows.
Later Simpson takes revenge on Dane for that degrading Headscissor with some leg torture of his own. With his tall white boots interlocked in Dane’s crotch, Simpson rolls in circles, spinning the big blond around like a child’s toy.
There must be a reason why ESPN Classic continues to air these old GWF episodes after 3+ years. They must be getting decent ratings, even though the same handful of episodes air over and over repeatedly. Why do you suppose people are tuning in to watch these old wrestling episodes from 25 years ago? I think we know exactly what is drawing viewers to this content and capturing their fancy. Modern wrestling federations should take a lesson from GWF and try to find the same patterns and fabrics that were used to make these amazing costumes.
I suspect you are right. People love watching these guys and their gear from the old GWF days.
Gear was always a turn on back in the day, as im sure it still is today. I remember sitting in my room waiting for the matches to be called. A monster beef-cake, hairy, thick all in black. Boots and Trunks. I knew even as a new-be to wrestling, he was the Heel and he was going to kick azz. SCHWING….Then a cute, trim, usually younger guy would enter the ring, in white? Pink? Baby blue ? Again, SCHWING….sexie was going to get punished by the Brute in all Black. Yup, gear was ALWAYS a part of the storyline !!
