Patriotism

In honor of July Fourth, let me weigh in on the recent Tag Team Torture 19 video from BG East that everybody’s blogging about.  This entertaining match features a pair of All American Boys, Christian and Charlie barefoot in their matching Stars and Stripes speedos.  That is one of my personal favorite Baby-Face looks.  God bless America!  Their opponents are two cocky bad boys: Ty Alexander and Chase Addams.

Incidentally, BG East is also honoring today’s holiday by slashing the price on all old videos that included a wrestler wearing red, white, and blue gear.

My fellow wrestling bloggers have already written fantastic commentary on this match, go check out the following links for the details.  Obviously this video has struck a chord with underground wrestling fans — or at least with wrestling bloggers:

• The Cave’s posting on June 18th identifies aspects of this match that mirror the classic Tag Team wrestling we grew up on — matching gear, dickish Heels, etc.

• In “Selfies, Lies, and Videotape,” Neverland critiques (praises) each of the four combatants involved — the two smug bastards from Team Vanity and the two Baby-Faces from the All Americans

I don’t want to repeat the insights and observations they’ve already eloquently stated, so I decided to take a different view and talk about my personal favorite part of any Tag Team match — the dirty Double Teaming.  I love that shit!

After the traditional “shine” by the Good Guys early in the match, the Heels commence their cheating by placing Charlie in the dreaded Tree of Woe.  Addams secures his legs so Alexander can punch that exposed gut.

Naughty Ty later gets sadistic by stepping up onto Charlie’s crotch and standing on his ballsack for a while.  Ty is a bad boy now!

He pulled his trunks down to make it even more degrading.

Ty has served as Face-in-Peril many times, so he knows first-hand many ways to degrade a victim.  For example, he scissors Charlie for a while, smothering him with a faceful of nuts.  Outside the ring, Addams pulls on his partner’s legs to increase the smothering pressure.  Then Ty sits bare-ass on Charlie’s face to REALLY humiliate him.

Team Vanity (with combined weight of 350 pounds) follow up immediately with a well-executed Double Suplex on little 130-pound Charlie Evans.  This is just cruel and unusual punishment by the dominant Heels, either of whom easily out-weigh their rookie opponent.  Shouldn’t one of these cheating bastards have to get the fuck out of the ring?!?  AND they document their dominance with frequent selfies as they pose over their limp little victim.

The unfair one-sidedness of this situation is obviously a turn-on, and I appreciate that the producers of this video continue to push the Patriot-In-Peril helplessness for our viewing pleasure.

You should hear Charlie’s groans after this Double Back-Cracker!

Charlie Evans is a willing Whipping-Boy — a very valuable attribute in a wrestling jobber.  He allows the two bullies to drag him around by the hair, to isolate him from reaching a Tag, and to pass him back and forth while they play My Bodyslam Is Stiffer Than Yours.   Charlie’s high-pitched squeals of agony after each devastating maneuver (like the dirty Double OTK Backbreaker) will give you chills — the good kind of chills.

After forcing Charlie to submit, Team Vanity turns their attention to Christian Taylor’s rockhard body.

I dig how the Bad Boys not only dominate the patriotic chumps, but they do it in a sexualized manner.  They press their asses or nutsacks in their victims’ faces, they wedgie those red speedos up their asses.  Here Christian is restrained as Ty strokes his six pack, remarking on how much he loves those perfect Abs.

We’ll get to THAT later…

The key to generating pro wrestling Heel Heat lies in not only dominating your victim physically, but psycho-sexually as well.  Here Ty pinches Christian’s nipples then cups his balls and I’m like swooning.

What exactly are they going to do to him later (and how can I watch)?  This is the question every wrestling lover has asked himself while watching a classic one-sided jobber squash on television.

I love how neither Patriot will break the rules to rescue his partner.

I’ve focused on Team Vanity’s cruel double-teaming in this gallery, such as this devastating Shoulder Driver into Christian’s exposed belly.  Just so you know, the Patriots do fight back here and there with some Two-on-One assaults of their own.
