The Tale of Dōgan, part 1 of 2

freshmeatAfter I posted Part 4 of my “Manga Match” cartoon series, one of my loyal readers left the following comment about another talented Japanese artist’s stunning images of pro wrestling:

http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?id=3607495 This talented artist creates similar digital works, definitely worth checking out.

Note: you may need to create a Pixiv account — it’s free — to view the artist’s full gallery.  Also, the navigation is in Japanese so good luck. If you want these hot images bad enough, you’ll find your way.

leglockknee2nadsI believe the artist is named “MAI”.  So rather than just link you to MAI’s gallery, I decided to write captions under the images like I always do and create a short Manga comic.  Hopefully MAI doesn’t mind what I did here.

The artist’s primary subject is this shaggy-haired muscle-kid in a blue bikini.  I think he resembles Zac Ephron (have you seen Zac shirtless lately, whew!)

The artist refers to the character simply as The Champ — I’m not sure if he has a name.  I’m calling him “Dōgan” which, according to Google Translate is the Japanese word for “Babyface.”  Here we see Dōgan as a rookie being trained by some ball-busting red-headed bad boy.

stretchertrappedThe trainer takes liberties with Dogan’s body.  There are actually even more explicit images on the artist’s site but I didn’t copy them here because I wasn’t sure how to work those into the storyline…

Anyway, the lighting, skin tones, and reflections in these images are all so impressive.  You can even see freckles on the trainer’s skin — it’s so realistic.   I’m not sure if this hi-res detail is a function of whatever software was used to render these images, or of the artist’s talent and patience.  If it’s the software, maybe I need to get this program and start making some hot Wrasslin images of my own…

2on1All this, AND some two-on-one action!  I am now a big fan of this artist.  The second attacker reminds me of Abdullah the Butcher with his oversized frame and bald head, so I looked up “Butcher” in Google Translate, which was “Nikuya.”  I added “Master” in front of “Nikuya” to make him even scarier, and a bad-ass Heel was born.

Many creators of erotic wrestling art have a favorite body-style and all their wrestlers tend to look alike.  If the artist likes the taste of beef, then everybody’s beefy.  If he worships Hercules, then they’re all Greek Gods.  MAI is unique for providing both the lean & swole champ as well as big, black & beautiful Nikuya.  The contrast works for me.

helplessreadypostedsplitzAnd the usual pro wrestling themes and tropes are presented:  the gorgeous victim abused without mercy, the overwhelming unfairness, sexually suggestive poses.

You can just tell when an artist “gets” the sex appeal of pro wrestling, and MAI gets it all without question.

slammerFor you readers who don’t enjoy the cartoon images, please be patient.  I realize I’ve been posting a lot of artwork lately but I think these artists do amazing, enticing work and I want to thank them so they create more for us.  I will wait a couple days before posting more of this story.

If you really dig these images and can’t wait to see more, go check out this artist’s Pixiv page and search around on there for more wrestling stuff (then send me links to the really good ones.)
