William Eavor is an interesting character in British wrestling — a long-bearded pastor who resembles Jesus and who also loves to wrestle. He enters the ring in long vestments which he peels open to reveal a hairy chest and trunks and boots. Maybe it’s because I attended Catholic school, but I find this gimmick a very powerful mind-fuck. I am digging this wrestling cleric and his open-arm poses with gazes up toward Heaven! A hot match featuring the Pastor was recently uploaded to YouTube.
His opponent is classic young Baby-Face, Ricky Combat, a fit lad whose smooth physique is heavily coated in oil.
Great contrast between these competitors: the manly authoritative pastor vs. rambunctious, lusty, sinful young meat.
One of my favorite Baby-Face moments occurred when Ricky locked on this unusual hold. Using his legs to entangle and bend the Pastor’s arms and legs, Ricky is able to relax on one elbow, flirting with the audience.
Once the righteous Pastor escapes this Body Lock, he will surely make this greasy young sinner suffer for his pride and arrogance!
There is something kinky or naughty about a wrestling priest — who is supposed to behave with love and tolerance, yet who strives to break the back of his opponents.
Also, priests vow to maintain celibacy and to avoid sins of the flesh — yet this Pastor strips down to his underwear (with crucifix chaps to remind us of his holy office) and rolls around groping and grabbing other men as the audience watches in lust.
This entire scene, this sexy and boastful dominance by this man of God, his contact with the young victim, feels so wrong and inappropriate. It gives you one of those guilty boners you get from witnessing something twisted and socially unacceptable.
The many allegations made against priests abusing their power give this match a predatory vibe. Ricky’s handsome good looks just add to the Pastor’s pervy-ness — as if his physical assault on the young, scantily-clothed victim is not meant to simply defeat him, but to sexually violate and humiliate him.
Now the Pastor is thrown from the ring, landing in an inviting pose. What a FLIRT!
Is this proper behavior from a religious leader? Does he realize the impure thoughts that this pose inspires in wrestling fans like me?!
I almost forgot to mention another thing I dig about the Pastor gimmick — his moves are named with religious references like the “Last Supper” or the
“Holy Trinity.”
I am obsessed with character-base names for wrestling moves. Ever since I invented characters in my head to fight in my fantasy wrestling universe, I’ve dreamed up names for their moves that align with their gimmicks.
I might have invented a young cowboy wrestler for example with a lasso and holster around his waist, perhaps named Big Dick Dawson or something. He would use devastating finishing moves like the Six Gun Shooter or the Get Along Lil Doggie.
This is just a very Pro Wrestling gimmick — a confident dude having the audacity to name his wrestling moves in alignment with his personality.
Ricky Combat is a great wrestler and very fun to watch in action, but for me, this Pastor stole the show. I definitely want to see more of him, especially if he begins to cheat and to behave even more naughty.
There are a few great matches with him over at Progress (probably my favorite fed!) Really enjoyed his match with Marty Scurll at “Malice In Wonderland.”
Sexy wrestling Jesus in compromising positions…yes, please!
