There are a couple 0f things I enjoyed about this Indy Tag match recently posted to YouTube. One is the utter dominance of the boys in blue trunks (Team Babe-Watch) over the wimpier of the heroes — Matt Linley. The other is the views we get of the backside of the partner outside the ring.
Whoever filmed this match was seated in the audience, filming the action from behind Morris and Linley’s corner. I usually don’t blog about matches filmed on audience hand-held cameras (because I need the close-up images to take us inside the ring), but I appreciated the ring psychology of the match and this camera work reminded me of being at a live show, so I decided to write a few words about it.
When I go see a rasslin’ show, I always like to sit behind the Good Guys’ corner so I can keep an eye on the Safe Partner, leaning on the ropes and shifting his weight from foot to foot as he watches his best pal suffering in the ring. Whoever filmed this ringside video may have the same odd obsession.
The beefier stud from Babe Watch delivers a Suplex off the middle rope, and Linley sells the fuck out of it. Then we see a “Suck It!” crotch-chop, drawing the audience’s attention to the bulge in his tight trunks. Both members of Team Babe Watch bring an air of sexuality into the ring.
I also enjoy the blatant cheating by the sleazy Babe Watch team. They have no right to mistreat the innocent Good Guys, which makes their nasty shenanigans seem even more compelling and rapey.
Here we see the long-haired Heel bumping and grinding on Linley in the ropes, riding him like a bucking bronco.
The story of the match is the helpless frustration felt by Evan Morris — the swole super-hero forced to watch his partner being tortured by these arrogant pricks.
His dedication to the classic masculine virtues of honesty and fair play keep him obediently outside the ropes, watching in mounting anger as the naughty Bad Boys blatantly and carelessly break the rules and taunt him while they’re at it. Can anyone explain to me why this particular unfair scenario gets to me every time?
