Numbers Game, 1 of 2

ecktourage1I am a sucker for two-against-one scenarios in pro wrestling.  So when I read Maryland Championship Wrestling’s description of their “Season’s Beatings” event, and it included a Handicap Match, I wasted no time in paying the mere $4.00 to stream this gem.

Dirty Money sells it beautifully.

Dirty Money sells it beautifully.

The big tall drink of water with the well-oiled chest is Paul Jordane, the lone wolf whose partner is absent.

His two opponents are a bearded little pocket stud named Eric Chapel, and the amazing Dirty Money — wearing his trademark silver boots.  I really dig Dirty Money and have written about him before.

We get to watch Chapel watch his partner.

We get to watch Chapel watch his partner.

Dirty Money and Eric Chapel are partners in a Tag Team known as “Ecktourage” — so named because their sleazy manager is named Kevin Eck.  I suppose they’re also referencing the attitude, ego, and male bonding depicted in the once popular Entourage show on HBO.

Ecktourage are stunning in their pink and black trunks with their team name printed across the back.  Their matching gear emphasizes the strength of their partnership.  Their numbers advantage soon enable them to over-power the giant and beat him into helpless submission.

ecktourage3The bigger man, who ought to be the dominant Alpha Male, is chopped down by the smaller Heels who cheat with abandon.  This unfair, inappropriate transfer of power is what I love about matches like this — a proud lion somehow taken down by a pair of cunning hyenas.

Spiking his face into the boot seems more humiliating than harmful.

Dirty Money’s silver boots are used several times in the match to weaken big Paul Jordane.

The implication is that his spectacular footwear holds power — that these magic boots endow him with super-human strength.  (Or maybe I’m just into boots and I’m mesmerized by shiny objects.)

Chapel spices up the match with some sexual thrusting.

Team Ecktourage perform all the naughty, cocky bullshit that a Heel Team is supposed to do — I dig it.

Here Eric Chapel implies he is going to make Jordane serve as his bitch.

Dirty Money gets in on the bumping and grinding.

Dirty Money gets in on the bumping and grinding.

Standing over the kneeling victim, Dirty Money starts to gyrate his hips as well.

Their antics make you wonder what they get into when they’re alone in a hotel room.

ecktourage10ecktourage7They often cut to a commercial when the Baby-Face is tossed out of the ring during televised wrestling shows, so this is a good point to stop for today.

They inflict a lot more pain and humiliation on this big slab of beef, and it gets really wild after the match is over, so we had better save the exciting conclusion for a later date.

To Be Continued…
