Me Vs. Jobber

The wrestle-porn website known as No Rules Wrestling has been producing a series of these cool “Point of View” videos, where they strap the camera to someone’s forehead so it looks and feels like we, the viewer, are in the ring with the likes of Handsome Jeff Clark, who showed up to wrestle in blue shorts and a white tanktop.

Hey — did this bastard just stomp on my balls??

I enjoy these POV videos — they’re very different from the usual wrestling video experience — so I downloaded “Jeff Slugged“, a 10 minute fight for like $10.

The match begins with Clark kicking my ass for a moment.  He takes me down to the canvas and stomps me under his blue wrestling boot!

Before long, I assume control of this stud and his muscular body.  I get pretty rough with him, punching his face a lot, stomping his balls, and dragging him around by the hair (which is just long and floppy enough to be pretty.)

In fact, I turn out to be an aggressive, dominating Heel, utterly owning poor Clark.  And he sells beautifully for me, even begging for mercy numerous times (but it seems that I am merciless…)

I can almost feel his long flowing locks in my fingers.

The video creates a sensual experience, with lots of touching and grabbing on Jeff Clark’s body and hair.  With the arms protruding from off the screen, those grabbing hands feel a bit like my hands, as if I am pulling his hair or pawing at his chest.  Whoever directed this video understands that the viewer of a pro wrestling match craves getting his hands on the exposed bodies.

This technique really does make it feel like you’re in the fight — it’s kind of magical, disorienting, and alarming at first to be transported into the ring, face to face with the other man as your arms reach out to attack him.  And I was just thinking, I’d really like to scissor his torso, when sure enough…

I credit Johnny Firestorm with pioneering this Point-of-View style match.  The first instance of a match like this that I know of (which I blogged about in January 2015) is available on Johnny’s video download website.  In that first-of-its-kind video, the camera was switched between Heel to Jobber so we got to experience both perspectives.

These latest POV fights by No Rules Wrestling improve upon Johnny’s original genius idea.  They keep the camera better trained on our victim’s body, with plenty of close-ups and lots of touching.

Now to take these POV matches to the next level, they should stream it live and allow us to suggest the next punishing move we want to apply on him!
