The Savage Look

Did you catch last week’s TNA Impact program?  If not, you can watch the entire episode on the Impact website.

In the last segment, former partners (and now bitter rivals) Roode and Storm got in the ring together to build up excitement for their upcoming match at the Lockdown Pay-per-View.

They delivered one of those long face-to-face, homo-erotic stare-downs where you aren’t sure if they’re going to bite each other or kiss.  It was intense — too bad they weren’t in wrestling gear instead of suits and ties (I guess you can’t have everything!)

What made the argument particularly exciting was their beards.  Both wrestlers sport dark, thick facial hair along their jawlines and around their mouths, which gives them that regal, confident Alpha Male air.  So when they squared off with their furry faces nearly brushing together, it was like a pair of bull apes battling for dominance.

Many wrestlers begin their careers as smooth, immaculate rookies, their cute faces  untarnished and clean.  But after surviving a few years of rough ringwars, they assume a veteran warrior appearance.  They grow a nice thick beard announcing they’ve come of age, they’re ready to face any challenge, they demand respect from the younger men in the locker room and the audience.

Here are some bearded brawlers with some nice manly, oozing testosterone and masculinity out of their very pores.
