Last August, I blogged about a wrestler named “Angelico” (aka Adam Bridle) and discussed why men fantasize about wrestling with angels.
Here is a closer look at the “Blond Superman” and the especially violent abuse he seems to endure at the hands of his Mexican opponents.
Is it just me, or are these Mexican hombres extra rough on our poor, handsome Angelico? Are they jealous of his lean physique and cocky nicknames, like “Spanish Sensation” and “Blond Superman?” Or is there perhaps some racism involved, the Latinos determined to show their superior machismo and natural dominance over the white race by punishing Angelico??
This young grappler traveled to Mexico in good faith, hoping to make a living in the world of Lucha Libre. Yet he faces nothing but unfair bullying, Triple Team attacks, whipping, choking, and other degrading abuse.
Maybe people naturally turn on outsiders who look different from the pack, like when a wolf is born albino and the other wolves kill it to preserve their bloodlines.
Something about Angelico’s lean, fragile-looking body makes us want to see him suffer. Here is how one reader of my Blog described Angelico:
“Wow what a beautiful wrestler! Very nice find. He not only has a cute model face but also his body is lean and athletic, my favorite kind of wrestler. Even though most wrestling fans prefer the big muscled guys, I prefer leaner ones, with a “swimmer” build like Angelico’s. I would love to see him suffering and enduring all kinds of nasty holds by a large, mean heel.”
Notice how the desire is to see him suffering, not winning or even holding his own in a fair fight.
An angel is a super-human being, innocent and holy. Us regular guys seem to crave the degradation of perfection, the loss of innocence, the stain on a clean white soul. Just like we want to see Tarzan beaten down by some black ape, or Superman being humiliated, so too do we want to see angelic Adam Bridle suffer.
Completely agree that Angelico is a HOT wrestler. Love his look!!!! Forgot the steriod look, his lean/muscular torso with trimmed pecs do the trick for me. Would kill to take him on a match and not as a total squash job either…..give and take would be way hot! He would be a good addition to the ROH roster — love to see him and Adam Cole [or Mike Bennet] go at it. Can’t wait for more of this stud!

Great, great find! Ideally, this hairy stud would evolve into a total jobber wearing a pair of, and only a pair of skimpy white short trunks.

First off, nice to see a wrestler in today’s market sporting a Hairy chest. Brings back FOND memories of Jobbers from years past that flaunted their man-hair. The likes of Tommy Angel, Kenny Kendall & Tommy Rogers, to name a few. All with equally good-looking Angel faces & Bodys. . To me, watching a match where such guys get worked over and Punished by the ever present Heel / Bad Guy / Muscle Stud, taking shots and being dominated, his face as beautiful as it is, constantly contorted in the many masks of his suffering. In my world, the pleasure I derive in watching a Beautiful Jobber Punished and Suffering, Totally Dominates the HIGH one reaches, when watching Porn. Yes, Bridle is an Incredible Looking man, and I could watch him suffer all day long !!!
Saw him wrestle a few years ago in the UK as Adam Bridle. He’s hot!
First, thanks to Fernando for mentioning the You tube with Angelico. It is quite good and we learn he is an Englishman, not an Anerican as I had initially supposed. All that aside Adam/Angelico is a fantastic Jobber. Watching him quite turns me on and when he is being worked over by three studs at a time, I am not only very turned on, I am extremely envious of him. I hope to see a lot more of Adam Bridle.
