Crossing Borders, 2 of 2

In Part One of this series, we examined the recent Ring of HonorBorder Wars” show.  The main event featured the degradation of Davey Richards at the hands of beefy bad-boy Kevin Steen.  Davey is the champion, a hard-working American, committed to fitness, the martial arts, and the strengthening of his body and skills.  He symbolizes America back when manufacturing jobs were plentiful, real estate was appreciating, and the economy was strong.  (But we all know what happened when American bankers got a bit too cocky and greedy and our government looked the other way…)

Big, bad Kevin Steen, meanwhile, is a chubby, wise-cracking Canadian.  His shirt says “Kill Steen Kill” to advertise his dangerous, deadly potential.  He is a slacker and rule-breaker by nature, over-shadowed by his spectacular American opponent, but determined to do whatever is necessary to win for the home team here in Toronto.  So far in the match, he has repeatedly placed Davey into the feminine role, flat on his back and submissive while Steen goes to work on him.

Davey wears a mouth-piece to protect his teeth.  When the big pervert sees that it has fallen out of Davey’s mouth, he picks it up and inserts it into his own mouth.  This is disgusting and outrageous!  Steen seems to be violating Davey like a French kiss, putting an object from Davey’s mouth into his own mouth.  Steen has sure crossed a border now!

This exciting Main Event was re-broadcast for free on the weekly Ring of Honor television program.  I can’t believe ROH is showing us this hot match in it’s entirety for free!

I can’t believe they put this sexually suggestive, almost pornographic encounter on network television (Check local listings.)   I also can’t believe how much effort and energy that Davey pours into every match, his body always glistening under buckets and buckets of shiny sweat.

I can’t believe Davey is so willing to be humiliated and bested like this, playing along by acting as the emasculated jobber.  As you’ve probably heard me say before: Damn I love Ring of Honor!

Modern society has become jaded and cynical to the point that we love the villain more than the hero.  We no longer want Superman to win, but get a sick pleasure from seeing him humiliated.   We love television shows featuring gangsters, outlaws, and serial killers as the protagonists, and we forgive their transgressions if they’re entertaining enough.  And we enjoy seeing a mouthy, over-weight slacker like Kevin Steen utterly degrading the spectacular male, Davey Richards.

So let’s recap some of the degrading and disgusting actions that Steen has perpetrated against our heroic Champion:

  • Illegally ramming Davey’s nuts into the steel post twice, to crush them
  • Grabbing the other man’s crotch to force him to release a hold
  • Repeatedly mounting and laying on Davey to pin him down
  • Kissing (or maybe biting) Davey’s face
  • Putting Davey’s mouth-guard into his own mouth to soil it
  • Showing Davey the middle finger (blurred out by the censors)
  • Spitting on Davey’s chest to mark him and degrade him

Yet the Canadian crowd continues to support this disrespectful lecher.  Their chants of “F— You, Davey!” reveal that they want to witness further humiliation enacted on the American.  They want to see him used and abused by big, manly Kevin Steen.  Feminists have complained about the growing “Rape Culture” in our society, and it seems to be alive and well in Toronto, where the fans are eager to see the exposed body of Davey Richards violated and soiled.

Steen’s killer finishing hold is the dreaded Package Pile-Driver.  It’s all over for poor Davey when he is bent over, embraced around the legs by the attacker, lifted up and then dumped on his skull and spine.  Davey has been broken and defeated.  The fans go wild as their fellow Canadian easily pins the formerly powerful, emasculated American.

My poor Davey has lost his pride, his manhood, and his championship belt. Can Davey now fight back and re-gain his former dominance and glory?  (Can America??)
