Back in May, I blogged about “Lucha Lock-ups” — those tangled up holds that are favored and used frequently South of the border. Here are some more images of these unusual, sexy, and especially immobilizing holds.
Maybe it’s the bondage lover in me, but these holds capture my attention because of the utter helplessness, the complete loss of control, by the victim. His arms and legs are soooo restrained, he can barely move an inch — THAT is what I look for in a good, effective wrestling hold.
I think part of what makes a complex, painful hold interesting is the fact that the man in control learned the hold and knows how to apply it. He went to some training program to learn how to hurt people, then he practiced the move on willing victims — his pals, his younger brother, his boyfriend — until he knew how to slap it on and make it hurt. That’s hot, I suppose because it is so pre-meditated.
A man who knows how to hurt you carries himself with more swagger, strutting around in confidence because he knows that if anyone messes with him, he can just tie the dude in knots and hold him in the uncomfortable position until the bully submits and promises to fulfill whatever sadistic urges the dominant man has in mind. 
The intriguing, identity-concealing masks, the beautifully bulging tights/trunks, the muscular physiques…contorted and “twisted around” in all manner of “interesting”, highly homo-erotic positions. And then, there it is… “la creme de la creme”: The poor masked victim’s agonized facial expression. Imagining ourselves placed in such a position, we can’t help but empathize with the debilitating pain and humiliation which he MUST be enduring. More often than not, the contorted/splayed/spread out/spladled muscular, masked victim is restrained and bent in a manner which leaves us wincing and yet we can’t help but stare. Despite which part of the guy’s body is being sadistically manipulated, it’s upon the poor, masked dude’s bulging groin, where our eyes invariably end up locked. Funny how that happens, huh? Hey! No complaints here!
