The NXT Great Heel

The WWE series “NXT” (which is not shown on television — only available on-line) continues to provide exciting and entertaining content each week in the style of classic Old-School Rasslin’.  Thank you WWE for bringing back those hot scenarios and story-lines that we wrestling fans of a certain age grew up on!   Here is a recent match between lovable Baby-Face Richie Steamboat and the cruel bearded villain, Kassius Ohno (formerly known as Chris Hero).  Check out the post-match brutality — always a pleasure to witness…

The dirty bastard — Kassius Ohno — repeatedly attacks his opponent’s eyes, clawing and scratching at his face.  This cruel treatment leaves poor Steamboat blinded and helpless.

Steamboat must have been taught how to suffer by his daddy. Not since Ricky Steamboat was active in wrestling have we seen such a heroic pretty-boy absorb so much torture and sell it so great.

And when was the last time you saw such sadistic and erotic torture like this in the ring?  I am liking this Kassius Ohno character more and more.  Soon the ref calls for the bell, disqualifying Ohno for trying to rip poor Steamboat’s eyes out.

Kassius Ohno isn’t the typical WWE pretty-boy.  He offers the fans a nice contrast to the ripped, handsome young studs currently gracing the big leagues.  His big hairy beard makes him appear more scary and sadistic than handsome and hunky.

It is his bulging green trunks that really make you take notice, and the best think about Ohno is that he is pure evil brutality in the ring.  He gets so rough with his opponents — not since Kevin Sullivan have we seen a wrestler who seems to get off so much from torturing the competition.

With the initials “K.O.”, you can bet that Kassius Ohno is known for knocking out his competition.  He does this by spinning around and slamming his elbow right into the back of his victim’s neck.

The move looks brutal as all hell, and it invariably leaves the victim helpless and stunned, wide open to whatever sadistic punishment or degrading pinning position Ohno wishes to inflict next.

So you’re thinking the match is over, Ohno was disqualified for eye gouging, lets break for a commercial.  Actually the brutality continues as Ohno tosses his helpless victim out of the ring, kicks him, then drops his throat across the ringside barrier.  YES!

You can bet Ohno (or Hero, whatever you want to call him) grew up watching Ricky Steamboat suffer at the hands of countless sadistic Heels.  How exciting it must be for this cruel bastard to torture Steamboat’s cute young son Richie.  It’s the fulfillment of Ohno’s wildest wet dreams…

Why would anyone want to hurt poor little Richie Steamboat?  His daddy Ricky “The Dragon,” taught young Richie to be honest, hard-working, and to always obey the rules of pro wrestling.  I wonder if The Dragon regrets instilling his handsome son with so much obedience and friendliness when he sees Junior getting his ass kicked each week by brutal, rule-breaking Bad Boys like my man, Kassius Ohno?The bell is ringing repeatedly, just like it did 20 years ago when Ricky Steamboat entertained us with his pathetic, helpless agony.  Ohno pulls the limp Steamboat to his feet and drills him in the back of the head with a deadly and totally unnecessary Elbow Smash.  NICE!  What a pleasure it is to watch a talented, relentless Heel at work!  I wish I could watch Steamboat getting beaten up like this every single day, and I hope to see a lot more unrestrained brutality by this Kassius Ohno in the years to come…
