Rock Hard Tag Team

A couple weeks ago, Joe from the Ringside at Skull Island blog wrote a description of this recent Rock Hard Wrestling match.  Joe always has great taste in wrestling, and Rock Hard does Tag Team matches very well, so I decided to download the video.

I must say, I was impressed and very satisfied with my purchase.  The four men in this match deliver a solid, entertaining battle with plenty of ring psychology and tons of great holds.  Joe is correct in his assessment:  “This is a match that stands up against any other company’s product for toughness, for sweat, for rub-your-eyes-in-disbelief holds, for drama, and for pure undiluted sex appeal.”

I hope you don’t mind me recapping a match that Joe has already described quite thoroughly on his blog.  As control shifts back and forth between the two teams, the match touches on several themes, so I just want to take a moment to describe my appreciation for the punishment of young Jason in his white and turquoise speedo.

Jason looks like the traditional jobber, his body a bit too skinny and his face far too pretty compared to the other wrestlers, and his gear is much too bright and tight.  His lean body is just begging to be stomped and stretched, and the bad boys — Austin and Brodie — soon oblige.

One theme of this match that I enjoyed is the veteran, the more experienced Austin, teaching his young apprentice Brodie how to dominate and punish a man.  He is like a cat teaching its kittens how to sharpen their claws.

He instructs Brodie on methods of double-teaming, how to inflict maximum pain, and even how to pose and strut and talk trash.

It’s as if the veteran is corrupting his innocent apprentice, turning the rookie to the Dark Side, teaching him the benefits of cheating so he will forever be a bad boy.  Jason, meanwhile, is nothing but a wrestling dummy, a toy that they pass back and forth between them.  First Austin demonstrates a hold, and then Brodie tags in and shows the teacher what he’s learned by torturing Jason in the same hold.

A few words about Rock Hard Wrestling — They are an underground federation that creates original pro wrestling content for purchase by fans who get off on wrestling.  The content is rated PG with no nudity or sexual situations, but it is still hot.  The athletes are all good looking and they sell their pain very well.  On this blog, I featured another Rock Hard tag team match about nine months ago, which also featured Austin with a different partner vs. Jason with a different partner.

The Rock Hard website describes their product as follows:  “Incredibly intense, non-stop sizzling wrestling action that showcases the hottest young wrestlers on the planet! You’ll see every sweaty detail, and nearly feel the pain and agony from right there in the ring!”

I like Rock Hard Wrestling because it looks and feels like mainstream wrestling which I love. The guys wear trunks and boots, which I appreciate, and don’t get too blatantly gay-porno.  They use holds I recognize.  The cinematography is professional with clear images, close-ups, and plenty of lighting. The matches flow like a mainstream pro style match with some of the same themes and psychology.  These Rock Hard guys are getting good pro wrestling instruction from somewhere.  I am not saying Rock Hard is the very best underground federation — I am just saying I like what I see (especially when they feature Tag Team wrestling…)

Another theme of the match is the humiliation of handsome young Jason, unable to defend himself or make the tag — totally disappointing his partner outside the ropes.  Meanwhile, Austin and Brodie have cocky mouths and relentlessly trash-talk both of their opponents, delivering verbal insults as frequently as they deliver punches and kicks.

The cheaters do a very beautiful thing during this match to Jason the jobber.  Austin stretches the jobber over his back in a Gory Special, while young Brodie hooks his legs through the ring ropes to trap him and then proceeds to hammer on that stretched-out mid-section.  Jason is helpless here, and Brodie is sadistic!

It’s so deliciously evil, what the cheaters do to this kid.  And his lean body and hard ab muscles in those tight white trunks look fantastic!  Some of you mainstream Heel tag teams need to take notes here — this is one beautiful and devastating maneuver! (Especially if your victim has a ripped body that looks breathtaking when all stretched out…)A lot more happens in this 30+ minute match than I’ve been able to discuss here, but you get the picture.  Great job guys, and thanks Rock Hard Wrestling — you ROCK!
