The Lone Rangers are a talented Tag Team in the Pro Wrestling Syndicate (PWS) federation in New Jersey.
I’m not sure why they’ve chosen the name “Lone Rangers” other than the wrestler in the foreground with the #1 on his trunks has the last name “Silver”, same as the Lone Ranger’s horse. His partner in the background is Pat Buck who owns the PWS wrestling federation.
As the late great Gorilla Monsoon would have said: “Clearly these men have been spending plenty of hours in the gym, Brain!”
Normally I prefer the traditional tall wrestling boots that look like they’d hurt if they kicked your ribs, but there is something intimidating about the amateur wrestling shoes worn by the Rangers. Their shoes say that they know how to wrestle and how to hurt their opponents thanks to their amateur wrestling experience and gear.
During the PWS Fight Night 2011 event, the Lone Rangers challenged the Urban Legends for the Tag Team belts. This match is tinged with a little class warfare with the spectacular, cocky white men in their shiny silver shoes trying to take away the gold belts from the inner city black males dressed in plain, no-nonsense black clothing.
The Lone Rangers demonstrate their skill at Tag Team wrestling (and ring psychology) by isolating the smaller of the Urban Legends — Wes Draven — and working together to punish and control him. Silver even goes for the old Headscissors on Draven — love that.
Pro Wrestling Syndicate has created an internet Pay-per-View website where fans can download this and other great matches. The coolest feature of this download site is that, similar to iTunes, you can either purchase the entire event for about $10.00, or pick and choose individual matches that catch your fancy for $1.oo each. I recently downloaded several quality matches including this Tag Team feature from Fight Night 2011 and I was definitely not disappointed.
(By the way, I dig it when the wrestler waiting outside the ring rests one foot up on the bottom rope — an odd little fetish I realize. The Lone Rangers drive me crazy the entire match, just teasing and torturing me by leaning against the ropes with their sexy little silver wrestling shoes all over that bottom rope…)
Some of you may be wondering, “Why should I pay $1.oo to download an Indy wrestling match when I can view wrestling for free on YouTube?”
Well, here are a few reasons:
1. The downloaded file is better video quality than YouTube
2. Your dollar supports Indy wrestling, enabling them to go make more
3. You might see some hot action that they won’t or can’t post on YouTube.
4. Pat Buck (seen below about to deliver a Flying Elbow) recently recorded a YouTube video (nice voice by the way, Buck…) where he lets fans know that Hurricane Sandy damaged their usual rasslin’ arena so they had to re-locate their latest show. So by supporting PWS wrestling, you are actually helping with the hurricane relief effort!
The dirty tricks employed by the white wrestlers enables them to steal the gold away from their black victims. John Silver then performs an odd little ritual after winning the match to further degrade the loser — he kneels over his beaten opponent, gestures with a repetitive stroking motion, and simulates masturbation:
I tried to create an “animated GIF” to show Silver’s humiliation of the beaten opponent. Sorry — this is my first attempt at animating a GIF, I promise I will get better at it…
