Ominous Tone

I continue to be so impressed week after week by WWE NXT, which is not shown on television but can be viewed online.

The superior athletes, the wrestling skill, the scenarios, the camera work, even the commentary all combine to create the most exciting, erotic, and high quality pro wrestling I believe I’ve ever seen on a consistent basis.

In honor of NXT and the incredible eye-candy they deliver each episode, all my galleries this week will be from a single episode of WWE NXT — the 11/14/12 show.  The opening bout featured one of the most unusual, sexy, mysterious Tag Teams we’ve seen in a long time — The Ascension.   The lights dim to highlight their dominating physiques and intimidating expressions as they take ownership of the ring.  Damn I love NXT.

I think the announcers are more serious, their tone and statements more dramatic during NXT compared to other WWE shows.  Instead of the usual tongue-in-cheek joking and teasing, they strike an ominous tone, using terms like “vicious,” “fierce,” and “dominated.”  All of the captions under the photos of this match are actual quotes that were said during this match.  I couldn’t even write captions that sound this erotic, this provocative, so I just typed up the most outrageous statements I heard.

It adds a sexy vibe to the wrestling when the announcers take it seriously and really sell the shit out of it like Gordon Solie used to do.  They get inside your head as they talk about the cruel, sadistic nature of the wrestlers, the detailed, devastating effects of their holds.  For a wrestling fan, it’s like they’re talking dirty to you.

Percy Watson is a beautiful black powerhouse.  He could definitely be cast as Chad Deity in the Broadway play.  Yet we see him dismantled and dominated by The Ascension, smothered under O’Brian’s hairy chest in a Headlock.  This mastery over the spectacular looking athlete adds to the implied power of the Ascension, the mysterious masculinity they possess.  O’Brian’s partner, Kenneth Cameron, poses eagerly on the ropes watching the brutality, and you just know I’m digging that!

Meanwhile, the sexually suggestive, titillating comments by the announcers continue…

It seems as if they’ve decided to make NXT into an old-school wrestling program, like wrestling was before it became goofy Sports Entertainment.  The wrestlers and announcers take the product very seriously, which certainly adds to my enjoyment.

There is also a healthy dose of homo-erotic play-acting as we see in this and future galleries this week.  Maybe because it isn’t shown on television, they can get away with more overt sexual imagery.

THAT is how you totally own a man.  Damn, I just love NXT!

By the way, I continue to be impressed by Bufflover who creates fantastic animated GIFs, including these little clips, and posts them on his Blog.  I featured some of his animations a couple months ago.  He sure has a great eye for catching the hottest moments in a match:

In this blog you state…..”Yet, we see him ( Luckie Him ) Dismantled and Dominated ( again, Luckie Him ) by the Ascention, Smothered ( Luckie Luckie -> Him ) under O’brian’s Hairy Chest in a HeadLock. By looking at the first set of pictures, the first thing I notice is the intense look on his face, dark…deepset Anger in his eyes..saying he is Intent on Punishing his victims……then his Thick Hairy Chest, and Biceps. Myself, being and having the Jobber mentality…to be pitted against such a Heel Mentality…Bring on the Headlock, as Im sure any Jobber ( thinking like myself ) ..would want him to do !!!! WOOF!!

Sadly, Kenneth Cameron (formerly Brandon T, real name Tom Latimer) has been dropped by WWE after being arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer and disorderly intoxication. What will happen to The Ascension now?
