After my Bryen Douglas gallery posted a few days ago, the artist Wrock could not resist getting involved, amping up Bryen’s agony by photoshopping the images to add even greater pain and humiliation for young Bryen.
For example, the above image shows a massive savage landing on Bryen — not safely belly-to-belly (with the ring absorbing the impact) but with the heavyweight’s heavy weight impacting knee-first into Bryen’s belly.
And you just knew Wrock would be inspired by the kinky Klown, adding a gorgeous boot to the ribs to further torture the already-suffering young fan favorite.
Watching pro wrestling inspires many viewers to want to get involved. We ache to get shirtless in the ring with them, to feel the pressure of their holds, the strength of their muscles.
This is why, as pre-teens, we would watch pro wrestling in my friend’s basement, then tussle (breathless and hard) with each other during the commercials. For once in my life, I felt the commercial break was all too brief! And believe it or not, some adult males continue to enjoy putting on pro gear and rolling around shirtless with like-minded dudes.
So when we observe the Heel yanking some sweet young jobber around by the hair, we long to get in there too, and to help slap, kick, or bite the attractive dude — to be the one causing his handsome face to cringe, causing him to acknowledge our power and to react to it.
Modern technology enables Wrock to fulfill this fantasy virtually — to involve himself in the scene by making a photo appear more painful and humiliating — to alter the image at his hand to intensify the victim’s pain.
Unrestricted by reality, the artist is able to take the scene into forbidden territory — into the fantasyland where pro wrestlers act out the violations and degradations that are only hinted at during the mainstream shows.
As long as I’m featuring Wrock’s work, I want to share a couple other photos he altered and sent to me, inspired by my recent Kerry Von Erich article where Kerry learned how it feels to be Iron Clawed, and to be left asleep and helpless at the end of the match:
Here is how Wrock described the action in these photo-shopped masterpieces:
“Kerry may have been the master of the Iron Claw, but it looks like his comforting buddy was working on mastering the Iron Jaw.
So is this a submission maneuver in erotic wrestling? What would you call it? The Nipple Nipper?”
