When a new episode of West Coast Wrestling Connection is posted on YouTube, I always go right in to see: (1). Is Matt Striker on the card, and, (2). What gear did he wear — trunks??
His selection for the April 3rd episode was no disappointment when Striker entered the ring in a too-tight pair of camoflage trunks. Nice look.
And Striker’s 0pponent — the always impressive, always swole-looking Alexander Hammerstone, sporting a phallic hammer symbol on the crotch area of his trunks.
This is going to be one of those great matches where they pit the two hottest, most talented guys on the roster against each other.
Watching Striker roll around in his distracting trunks, one can understand the following comments posted under the YouTube video:
“Matt Striker`s bulge is a thing of beauty.”
“Matt Striker…thank you for the cammo trunks!!!!! YES!!!!”
Hammerstone plays the limp Muscle-Jobber for much of the match, exhausted and dazed on the mat as Striker looms over him. This behavior makes sense to me — if Striker showed up to wrestle me in those trunks, I’d probably let him do whatever he wanted to me too. Still, it’s rare (and wonderful) to see Hammerstone selling.
Here is Striker now in the Ragdoll role, letting Hammerstone hook his leg and nearly pin him. Meanwhile we get a good look at those white boots and colorful trunks, with veteran Striker demonstrating his innate skill at knowing where the camera is, and presenting himself at every opportunity.
Striker’s tragic flaw proves to be his self-centered exhibitionism. Some horny fan in the audience was whistling and cat-calling in reaction to those revealing trunks, so Striker decides to give the crowd a show, shaking his dick at the outspoken fan.
This distraction enables Hammerstone to attack the show-off from behind.
(By the way, I HATE when I go to a live wrestling show and some redneck in the audience yells at the wrestlers: “Put some clothes on!” or “Why are you wearing your sister’s panties?” People — please shut the fuck up. We WANT them to wrestle in their sister’s panties, so quit hurling insults that might cause the talent to feel self-conscious and to begin wearing more modest clothing.)
The sneak-attack enables Hammerstone to implement his finishing move — a Torture Rack followed by dropping the victim into a surprise knee-smash to the skull.
The veteran Striker puts over the younger man, humbling himself so Hammerstone’s career can take off.
After a commercial break, a disappointed “Mr. Striker” delivers an odd little interview with an eager young reporter who asks him (the loser) for his thoughts on the match:
“You know, the wrestling game’s in good hands — there’s a lot of good young wrestlers out there. Sometimes even an old dog can get caught up, so I tip my cap to him.”
Striker continues to humble himself and put over his younger opponent. (And I agree with his comments — there’s so much great wrestling and amazing young talent in wrestling right now, I tip my cap to all of them.)
