Matt Striker appeared again on the West Coast Wrestling Connection episode uploaded on 3/20/17. Matt seems to be appearing on every episode lately — the ratings must be soaring when he is on the card.
After Striker wore trunks for his prior appearance, I was concerned that it was a one time treat. However, I was pleased to see him again enter the ring in bulging spandex trunks for his latest bout against Adam Thornstowe. Hopefully Matt now grasps that he still looks great — perhaps better than ever — when he showcases his masculine physique in classic trunks rather than board shorts.
These trunks say “Smarter Than You” on the back rather than Striker’s name. That’s fine — as long as he wears that tight spandex, he can write whatever he wants across the ass.
Based on earlier bouts on the same episode, I get the sense that other WCWC wrestlers learned how to dress from Striker. For example, check out these shiny black trunks with red accents worn earlier in the night by “Adrenaline” Adrian Matthews. Did he steal those trunks out of Striker’s locker and have “Adrenaline” sewn on the back?
I need to keep an eye on young Adrien Matthews. He suffers nicely, rolling around on his stomach as his beastly opponent works him over.
His tall white boots (similar to the white boots favored by Striker) go well with his streamlined trunks. He’s got good taste in gear.
Check this kid out, hoisting up the beast by the crotch, then Power-Slamming him to destroy him.
Adrian actually won the match, which I didn’t see coming! I thought for sure they’d have the monster squash the pretty-boy. Like I said, I need to keep an eye on “Adrenaline” Matthews.
And later on the card, we saw the “Heavenly Bodies” (the modern version) in Tag Team action. Similar to Matt Striker, they too are wearing black trunks now, also about a size too small for their stocky frames.
