On the 5/29/16 episode of Superstars (available on the WWE Network), this demonic freak Viktor got to have his way with Zack Ryder.
I am usually not a big fan of face paint on wrestlers. I never really got into Sting for example. However, this particular paint on this particular Heel is really working for me. He seems so nasty and kinky in his “Crimson Mask”, especially with his tongue sticking out like the singer from KISS. I couldn’t wait to watch him tear into my poor Zackie and start harming him.
The demonic one gains control over Zack with this Elbow Drive to the neck followed by a gorgeous Falling Fist. This match plays into one of my old pro wrestling fantasies — owning my very own Jobber Slave. I used to day-dream (OK, fantasize while beating off) about possessing a wrestler. I would keep him hidden under my bed, or in a secret wrestling ring built in a room dug under our basement, or wherever.
I didn’t have all the particulars sorted out, but I would own this jobber like a slave. Whenever I was in the mood, I could get out my secret Jobber Slave and dominate him. I’d Scissor him or Bearhug him, or Elbow Smash him like Viktor is doing, then put him away when I was done with him.
Was I the only wrestling lover who had these Jobber Slave fantasies? I would imagine myself being super rich, so I could afford my own mansion. Then I’d pay the builder of the mansion extra money to construct a hidden room in the basement or above the garage, complete with pro wrestling ring.
There in the hidden room I would house my secret Jobber Slave, or maybe I could hire four or five different jobbers, all very good looking and shirtless and eager to wrestle me. Sometimes I would pay my secret jobbers a bonus to discipline one another in my ring while I watched.
One-sided beat-downs like this Viktor vs. Ryder match inspire these Jobber Slave fantasies in the viewer. For example, here Ryder is whipped into the ringpost, which is totally illegal. Why would Ryder stay in this fight and agree to get back in the ring with a cheating psychopath? It must be that Ryder has no choice. He can’t exit from this match even if he wants to. So he is powerless to run away from the situation, like a Slave.
We see Zack tossed back in the ring against his will, utterly devoid of the ability to decide for himself whether he wants to keep fighting (just as my fantasy Jobber Slave would be.)
The fact that Zack is so good looking with that spectacular physique just adds to the young male viewer’s craving to possess him, to get one’s hands on him.
Growing up watching pro wrestling, I wanted to do what the wrestlers were doing. However even in my childhood fantasies, I couldn’t imagine myself working as a real pro wrestler, and I never dreamed there were others like me eager to wrestle pro-style, so I created the secret Wrestling Mansion in my fantasies.
Mind you, I didn’t want to hurt or torture my Slaves (I’m not that twisted), I just wanted to grapple with them and defeat them. I wanted to do stuff like Viktor is doing to the very submissive, very willing Zack Ryder.
Viktor applies multiple Headlocks in this match which serve to weaken Zack until he is almost out cold. This further stirs up thoughts of ownership. As limp as a dishrag, Zack is devoid of all ability to move, to fight back, to run away.
The viewer will readily put himself in Viktor’s position and fantasize about holding a man in a helpless state like Zack is in — like a slave — so you can do anything you want to him.
Zack actually defeats Viktor in the end with some high-flying attack off the top rope. Whenever the Good Guy actually won a match, it would detract from my Jobber Possession fantasy. Nobody wants their Jobber Slave to rebel and defeat the Master.
In any case, I didn’t want to own a real pro wrestler like Zack Ryder as my Jobber Slave. Even in my fantasies, I understood that a top star would be unattainable. So instead, I dreamed of owning some hunky unknown stud who I could pay or who would wrestle for room and board in my mansion, who loves to work out and loves to be dominated.
A boy can dream, right?
